Polywell Poly 975MCE-E

Polywell Poly 975MCE-E

This Desktop equipped with processor Pentium 4 Hyper-Threading 3.46GHz, Memory : DDR II SDRAM 1GB, Video Card: NVidia GeForce 7800GT , Display Flat Panel 19 inch, Harddisk 74 GB Serial ATA 150.

The good: Easily handles high-end media and gaming applications; component-style design fits well into entertainment centers; dual-tuner TV card lets you record two shows simultaneously; quiet operation; almost 750GB of smartly configured storage space.

The bad: Expensive and misguided configuration; no media card reader; Media Center OS not configured properly for TV show storage; monitor, mouse, keyboard, and speakers seem mismatched for a living-room PC; 24/7 phone support requires warranty upgrade.

The bottom line: Polywell's pricey Viiv PC, the Poly 975MCE-Extreme, can't decide if it wants to reside in a living room or a den. By failing to pick one task at which to excel, it ends up falling short on both fronts.
